Culture Commons was commissioned by Greater Manchester NHS Integrated Care Service and Greater Manchester Combined Authority to work with senior leaders and delivery teams across the region to help realise their ambition to be the first Marmot city region in the world.

We designed and delivered a comprehensive programme of policy engagement - including traditional public affairs activities and more creative interventions - to influence local and regional policymakers. We also connected the team up with key research networks nationally and internationally.

Through a deeply integrated partnership approach, the Greater Manchester Creative Health Strategy is now helping our sectors, civil society and health and social care providers to initiate new creative health projects that are supporting local residents to lead longer, happier, and healthier lives.

Speaking at the launch of the strategy, Sir Richard Leese CBE, said:

“A culturally rich and creative city region is part of what’s going to foster a healthier city region. There’s real room for creative health to grow and for it to become part of the fabric of our lives.”
