Culture Commons collaborates with Excluded UK
We're pleased to announce Culture Commons will be collaborating with Excluded UK on a series of high-level regional panels on the impact of Covid-19 on freelance workers in the creative and cultural industries.
Excluded UK is a leading national organisation working to end all exclusions experienced by workers of all statuses in the Government's financial support packages. The campaign continues to be raised at the highest levels in Parliament, including today in PMQs.
It's now estimated that 3 million taxpayers – 10% of the UK workforce – have found themselves excluded from any meaningful support due to their freelance status through no fault of their own. Working with Local Authorities and stakeholders, Culture Commons will draw up a national report on the events and make it available to subscribers.
Events will be taking place in the first quarter of 2021. Please revisit the Culture Commons website in January 2021 for dates and more information or subscribe for updates. If you or your organisation would like to be involved, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
